“When a person has a false expectation, there’s nothing you can do for them. They have to do it for themselves.”
John-Roger directs us to access our own inner truth regardless of others’ expectations and illusions in the outer world. As he says, “It’s best just to state where you are, what you’re going to do, what your approach is, and if they start taking it out to something else, then you just have to tell them, ‘Suit yourself.’” With this approach people are free to come and go around us, and we maintain a level of honesty within which we can work.
We are reminded that the expectation we project into the world is what makes life so difficult. Caught in illusion we forget, “The kingdom of God is within,” and that “We are that spiritual being we’ve all been waiting for. We’re the promised one. We know it.”
Claiming our inner kingdom and spiritual heritage, is easy to do J-R says, by simply stating, “Here I am, whatever,” and just letting the spiritual consciousness flow in.
