Our sacred and deeply inspiring Reps Meeting flowed from beginning to end with the loving grace of the Wayshower, that one who we know within — the divine spark of God within each one of us. From the time we sat down and called ourselves forward into the Light of God, to the gratitude we shared as we closed our meeting, volunteers serving in all of the organizations founded by John-Roger enjoyed the beauty and power of loving ourselves and one another as we choose to serve the Lord.
As John Morton, Spiritual Director of MSIA, reminded us, we are here in this world to love and be loved and to make this world a better place than we found it. In our Reps Meeting, we found many sweet blessing reminders to help us move forward serving all with love regardless – the Wayshower’s Way.
Rebecca Skeele, PTS Rep from Santa Fe, New Mexico, helped design and develop the Reps Meeting this year and facilitated for us throughout. With a lovely sense of focused gentleness, Rebecca guided us through empowering inner processes to help us see our service through the eyes of the Inner Master. We listened to profound yet practical excerpts from John-Roger, and then shared our learnings and observations in mingle processes, partner processes and small group processes. Throughout all these experiences, Rebecca held a warm, humble and steady focus for us all. Much gratitude and appreciation was expressed for Rebecca’s sharing from her own experiences. We all discovered once again that we are never alone in our challenges or blessings as we choose to serve.
Along with heartfelt sharings from participants, Rebecca reminded us that we can have challenges serving in our communities for a variety of reasons. We may encounter different ideas and intentions between community members. We may experience fear or doubt within ourselves. John-Roger’s excerpts reminded us to go within to the “Kingdom of Heaven” to find our divine guidance and inspiration. Then we can discover and explore our next steps in our service with confidence and courage.
Each volunteer received a special card with a particular blessing quality printed on it and a John-Roger quote on the back. Blessing qualities included abundance, compassion, impeccability, discernment, gratitude, co-creation, knowing, acceptance and more. Rebecca asked us to consider that the quality on the card we received was meant for us specifically and to look within for the meaning and value that blessing quality has in our lives and for our service at this time. We then shared our blessing qualities with other volunteers, allowing for a beautiful expansion of the blessings that already are!
During a relaxing break, we enjoyed an abundance of homemade goodies provided by MSIA. What a delightful opportunity to catch up with one another as well as met volunteers from around the world! Volunteers munched on fresh fruit, cheeses, hummus, crackers and scrumptious cookies while sharing tips and experiences to help one another. Nourishing ourselves is a key to our joyful service, both the nourishing guidance of the Inner Master as well as yummy treats for our tummies!
John Morton then joined us, first sharing about some of his personal experiences with the challenges and blessings of service, including his recent visit to Sofia, Bulgaria where he shared with Insight IV participants and provided an “Introduction to MSIA” Seminar. John encouraged us to take our inspiration and do something with it, to manifest that loving energy from our Inner Master into the world. I appreciated John’s reminder that we are learning better ways to do our service and that we aren’t expected to always know what to do. What’s important is that we are those who are gathered in His name and choosing to follow the Lord by loving it all.
John reminded us that we are all handling negativity because negativity is natural in this world. John encouraged us not to take negativity personally. The world is not against us; rather we are here to get along with the world by bringing our inner peace forward. John reminded us that we are all learning how to handle negativity better. Instead of judging or complaining, John suggested we move away from whatever is not serving. We can do our best by putting aside our personal nature and moving more fully into our spiritual nature which is loving and serving regardless.
I’m grateful John reminded us that it’s important we ask for help when we need it and then be open and allow ourselves to receive of that help. I resonated deeply with John’s noting that when we are at peace with our service to the Lord, we find we are at peace with all that is in our lives. John reminded us that who we are is unshakable. So at times when we may feel shook up or shaken by experiences in this world, the truth of who we are as a Soul endures.
John encouraged us to come into the understanding that everything has been designed perfectly for our experience as a Soul. The place has been prepared for our Soul’s journey Home. As we follow the Wayshower, we find the seeds are already planted for our Soul’s learning, upliftment, and growth. It is both our choice and our blessing to nurture those seeds, to “be fruitful and multiply” through our loving service to the Lord in each and every one. That’s the Wayshower’s way.
