In typical holiday mode, a large contingency of the MSIA community turned out for the Easter Eve Seminar and Internet Broadcast on April 7th, featuring our Traveler, John Morton. Although the skies had been gloomy most of the day, the cool air was refreshing in a springtime sort of way. The Brentwood Ballroom was nearly packed. A buzz of excitement filled the room, a multitude of voices in a variety of languages called out greetings to friends and family.

Our Mistress of Ceremonies, Angel Gibson, introduced herself and called us forward into that sweet Light, leading us in quiet chanting of the Ani-Hu. She introduced Nathaniel Sharratt, who sang one of his newest songs, “I Heard You Whisper.” Nat just gets stronger and sweeter every time I hear him. Then we were treated to a monologue by Tamsin Rothschild, entitled “Mary Magdalene,” which had many of us in tears. And finally, David Stern presented a new classical work, “To Paradise,” accompanied by Claire Smith on flute, and by singers Erin Rorke and Clara Jaramillo. Such a deeply moving piece, beautifully presented.

We saw Moment of Peace video clips from previous Easter services, including one from a PAT IV trip to Israel. Then Angel introduced John Morton. As he often does, he gave a quick report of the many places around the world where people are tuned in to the Internet broadcast, and he also added a brief description of the teachings of MSIA.

As this was a Question and Answer Seminar (Q & A), the first question up was about the Basic Self, High Self, and Conscious Self. John’s response was a really clear message about the connection between the levels of self. The next question, from a participant on the Internet in New Jersey, was about becoming more aware and conscious of the Christ within. John spoke about relaxing and doing Spiritual Exercises to access the Christ within. Another question was about seeking fulfillment through a relationship with self. John talked about personal freedom, and responsibility for fulfilling one’s self.
