Our sweet and tender 2003 BlessingsFest at Melisse Restaurant in Santa Monica, California, was filled with 98 supporters of the Institute for Individual and World Peace along with BOTH of our beloved Travelers, John-Roger and John Morton. Over 20 thrilled and grateful MSIA Staff members were able to attend our brunch due to the generosity of anonymous donations to IIWP, the organization dedicated to the study of the processes that lead to peace. For over four hours, we dined on a six-course gourmet feast, enjoyed each others’ loving company, and were blessed again and again by Spirit through J-R and John.

At the beginning of the afternoon, John told us of how all the blessing requests are placed in a Golden Chalice, sent into the highest Light, and let go. What comes back to us then are the blessings.
J-R and John advised us to trust that if nothing comes back, then that is the blessing. Be open and flexible with how the blessings come to us.

Some of the blessings I heard included to get a blessing of laughter, see yourself and others laughing. Hear yourself laugh. When there is pure laughter, grace is present. To be debt free, have the willingness to pay the debt and to release any self-imposed restrictions. For a blessing of being humble, clear our judgments. To be able to smile all the time, remember that who we are inside is smiling all the time. If we want more courage, come from loving because loving is courage. For a blessing of a more comfortable home, John suggested we invite the Holy Spirit into our home and ask how we would know that the Holy Spirit is comfortable in our home. For a blessing of partnering with God, remember that God is already our partner. God is our silent partner always in all ways.

For a blessing of communicating living love, I experienced J-R sharing that to have that blessing is everybody’s request and suggesting that to have more, do more. To have a greater awareness of God’s grace, focus upon it. What we behold, we become.

For a blessing of peace and the cessation of againstness in the world, John reminded us to do our part. Peace begins with us. And there is plenty of opportunity to do the Traveler’s work in this world.

Many blessing requests echoed one another reaffirming that we are all One. Along with requests for blessings for J-R’s health, one blessing request asked that all the blessings that J-R and John give be returned to them and multiplied. John said that makes a BlessingsFest! John closed our Fest with a blessing for all the blessings as we remember that the blessings already are.
