The work party crew arrived at Windermere at 9:30 on Friday night. Even before the van was unloaded, cook Julie Lurie popped cookies in the oven. While the cookies were baking, Mark Lurie mixed the ingredients for home made ice cream which he planned to serve on Saturday evening. Then Ron Beimel got into the act by whipping up some meringue. By now it was obvious to me that we had come to Windermere to eat, not work.
