John Morton at the Q&A on September 8, 2010

John Morton, in a rare bilingual event at Prana, showed us steps to move more into our expression as divine beings. John brought his loving presence and gentle humor. This was one of the most moving seminars I have heard in quite a long time.

John reminded us that our purpose is Soul Transcendence. It means that we have an inherent ability to transcend everything in this world – sometimes called “going home”. This world is not our home but it is perfectly designed for us to launch us into Spirit. John, in one of his answers to a seminar participant, described Soul Transcendence as our natural state. He likened it to a young bird in the nest that has had no specific “training” but has something inside of itself that will urge it to spread its wings and fly. The way is hard-wired within its being. In the same fashion we are being trained to soar into the realms of Spirit. What is it in us that tells us we can go into Spirit? It’s already done on the inner levels. We are already divine. John said that in our consciousness is the consciousness of a master: the inner master. He said the only mastership worth having is the one that goes direct to God and told us to look for that which brings us to the mastery of our own godhood.

One of the functions of the Traveler is to show us how to soar. How do we soar in this world? The way we practice this is to become scientific about going within. When things appear inside of you as true – we check it out and look into it. We must do this moment-to-moment so we can have a transcendent life. We must continue to choose the transcendent moment-to-moment, especially when we have a problem in the world. John said that since we live in this world, we must practice a “practical spirituality” that has to work in the world, not in a cave or a monastery. It must work in the real world. The quest becomes then one of “Can you uphold this divine viewpoint regardless of the conditions in the world?” The world is only too ready to test you concerning this.

One area where this occurs is expecting results out in the world. That will often bring us disillusionment. However John said that disillusionment is actually in our favor. This is the taking away of our illusions. This world is the land of illusion and we need the truth to navigate. We need to get as close to the truth as possible. This also gets us closer to God. We just have to watch that we do not confuse disillusionment with discouragement. In other words, don’t let disillusionment dis-courage you.

Our disappointment is only out in the world. John said that our “appointment,” our meeting up with God, is inside. If you look out in the world, you won’t find it, unless, John said, you connect with it inside, then it’s truly everywhere. In a moment like that you can have a moment of truth – a moment of perfection. It is eternal in all situations. We can expand that moment. We can exercise the Spirit. It becomes Spirit doing you.
In order to do that, we must pay the price and that is an unconditional trust of God. That trust is also inside of us. That means being willing to go past all the conditions of the world and still trust. How can we trust in a world that is constantly changing? We are called to come into a love which transcends all the changes. Beyond the conditions is the infinite. In that is serenity. There is no security in this world. Who you are as a soul is perfectly protected. The Soul outlasts all the conditions.

Trust in God is often to move forward regardless of whether we know how to proceed or not. We need our courage to go past our fears and doubts. Can we trust God when everything out in the world reflects doubt and fear? At that moment, God is choosing us. The test in the world is if we are ready to choose back. Our courage is unconditional and based on our trust. When we are up against our limitation we get to be witnesses. We get to let the Lord do what the Lord can do.

Along with unconditional trust is an unconditional surrender to God’s will. The thing that is important here is the ability to do. John reminded us that the willingness to do gives the ability to do. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” This will is God’s will. If we can move into God’s will and make our will one and the same, it’s already done, we just choose it. J-R often told us that perfect vulnerability is perfect protection. John Morton reminded us that we are never given anything we cannot handle. Even when we are way out of control, there’s no problem, it’s all perfect, we will transcend. Whatever happens in the world, we will transcend it. The more we can get a hold of that, the more we have the peace and serenity.

There is also, of course, unconditional love. That love loves EVERYTHING because it is all God. John said that if we love God, we must all love the conditions. We must love everything. Our change is how we would transform to the love of God. We must BECOME that. Then it goes with us into every condition. Everything in this world serves as something we can lift from. It can be a springboard. It can push us into Spirit. John said we can use it all for our upliftment, learning, growth. All of our experiences are designed for our upliftment. There are also a lot of choices in the world that are not necessary to us. We must let go of our attachment to our judgments. “Be careful what you hold in your consciousness.” John said, “The world stops you because you let it stop you. It tells you that you are not worthy. It is upon us to pardon (forgive) ourselves and release ourselves from the prison. Don’t buy the negative judgments. We need to let go of what doesn’t work.”

When we get rid of what is no longer serving, we return to our natural state. Letting go of our own will and connecting to God’s will, we get to see the divine behind all that is going on here. We surrender and become “transparent” to this world. John said that if we ask to come into the nature of the Soul, then that begins the transformation. Then we can all say, “I am the Light the Truth and the Way.” And, it’s available to us in this world – it is at hand – so let’s do it! We are lovers of God. We are lovers of the truth. Then we also love disillusionment. For along with the disillusionment, there must be truth there also.

John said that our ministries are to go into the world with this love. It is an aspect of the office of the Christ to bring that energy into the flesh. It is a natural occurrence of the Spirit into the flesh. Jesus said, “this, too, you shall do…” So, we call ourselves forward in that name for we are going through all the changes to become one with God, which we already are. This is our destiny. It is here in our midst. As we come into that harmony we transcend and the Spirit makes itself manifest. We are of that presence. The Mystical Traveler is the consciousness that knows the way. The Mystical Traveler is in direct alignment with the consciousness of the Christ. What are we doing here as souls? We are using the intensity of this world. The Spirit is waiting for us to choose back. When the spirit pours itself onto the planet we are ready to become vessels for that. We are then able to be of service – the highest consciousness on the planet.
