This is the tenth in a series of articles and images from NDH correspondent, David Sand, on the road in China with John-Roger, John Morton and 106 traveling peacemakers.
August 24
I’m not going to say anything today because words will just interfere with the experience: We saw some of the world’s most beautiful scenery today.
Just a brief description of what we did: a short walk through the village near the Foggy Hotel (Oh, yes, some of us who didn’t want to walk were carried in sedan chairs–there are some shots of them too)
to limestone caves where we walked and took a boat on a subterranean river through spectacular caverns.
Then got on a boat for a cruise down the Li river for 4 hours which took us to our hotel in Yangshou. Enjoy.
Note: David Sand and the China Trip participants will be on a cruise ship on the Yangtse River starting on the evening of August 25 through August 27. David may not be able to get an internet connection during these days, so there may not be a China Trip update during this period.
