Zen of Spirit Tour in Japan — Day 13

Paul Kaye shares this John-Roger quote:
You don’t have to pretend to be anything. You can just be ordinary. You can just breathe your air in and breath your air out.

You don’t have to dramatize. Just be ordinary. That is the prior condition to the energy that you have conditioned. That’s spiritual. YOU can’t do it. IT does it.

The reason you can’t do it is because as soon as you put your mind to it, you condition the energy, and then you can’t have it. And as soon as you feel it, you’ve conditioned the energy, and you can’t have it.

So you say, “Well, I might just as well let go and let God.” That’s right. There’s not another way you can get it.

-John-Roger

Angel Gibson shares:

How can it be that it is time to leave Japan! We feel like we just arrived. Back to the present – we still have the day to be together and share our travel. And there’s lots of travel today.

We start with breakfast. Most of us changed over to Japanese breakfast this morning. We’ve been finding ourselves more nourished by the Nori (seaweed), miso soup, rice, eggs and fish than the white bread and eggs of the western breakfast. (still we did enjoy some good western croissants for a couple of days there). We say good bye to the fish, to the ladies that served us, to our lovely rooms (Olga, Patricia and I bless our beautiful sleeping room that we dubbed the “Princess room” because of its size and layout). We are so cooperative that we get to the train station 5 minutes ahead of our schedule. Steve is amazed at how good a group we are and of course, we agree.

Today we have 4 trains to ride on our way to the airport. The first two trains are commuter style trains and the ride on each lasts about 35-40 minutes. At each stop we make smooth transitions following Steve across the tracks, up the escalators like little chicks. Paul plays herder at the back of the group. We are well looked after. Now we get onto the bullet train at Hakata. This is a three hour ride and we’re still in the Zen training so we listen to the Divine Communion seminar by John-Roger and do S.E.’s. Coming out of S.E.’s we’re having an attack of the munchies. The snack cart is swamped by some of us looking for whatever will satisfy the cravings – chips, cookies, water, and tea. Nobody goes hungry! We land in Osaka and have one more train to catch to get to the airport. We perfectly execute the group’s move onto the new train. Steve takes this opportunity to review each day of the trip with us. As he goes through each day memories flood me and those around me. We are so full of gratitude for the beauty, the experience of this Japanese culture, the sharing and caring with each other, our time with the Traveler and ourselves. We ask Steve to tell us about what other places he’ll be doing in the next trips. He tells us we can look up particulars and register for any Esprit Travel trip on their website – www.esprittravel.com and that there are 30 trips next year that Esprit will be doing including Rural Northern and Southern Japan; arts and pottery places in Japan; Islands of Japan, and more. We want to come again to Japan and urge Steve to keep putting the word out. We clap and cheer for Steve, Paul, Deborah and all her assistants.

We arrive at the airport. Deborah Martinez is very focused in getting and re-packing the sound equipment before it goes through a custom check. A group of us help her sort and re-pack and this is done in record time. Grace and the Light are with us; all the bags get checked in and customs signs off. We hug and kiss Steve goodbye, telling him how much we’ll miss his dulcet tones and funny puns and jokes. There’s just enough time for a little food and goodies shopping -a last green tea Haagen Daz ice cream – and then we’re on our way to our gate. During the flight we’re watching movies, playing video games, sharing goodies. There’s a last Japanese dinner and lots of green tea. As I finish off this update I’m nodding off and soon I’ll surrender to some sleep before we land in L.A. Thank you for sending us Light all along our way- this has been a trip of trips with tremendous blessings inwardly and outwardly. May there be more to come for all of us.
