MSIA & the Heartfelt Foundation Celebrate “Making a Difference through Service”

This year’s Conference of Service kicked off at the Sheraton Universal with an evening called “Making a Difference through Service” sponsored jointly by the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) and the Heartfelt Foundation. The gathering was dedicated to exploring service in our lives and also a celebration of the 25th anniversary of Heartfelt.
Vincent Dupont, one of MSIA’s presidents, was our MC for the evening. He reminded us that service is the underpinning of MSIA and that we grow spiritually by giving.
Vincent then introduced our facilitator for the evening, David Bransky. David did his Doctor of Spiritual Science Practical Treatise on servant leadership. David brought forward something completely new — one-hour workshop! It’s true! He cut the standard workshop to the bone, even leaving out the jokes he was going to tell.
In just a few minutes we were all sharing with one another about our service experiences and how the doing of service makes a difference in our lives. We packed a lot into just one hour! I think David is on to something here.
The rest of the evening was devoted to The Heartfelt Foundation. Executive Director of Heartfelt, Patti Rayner, received a well-deserved standing ovation from everyone present. We all know what an extraordinary job of loving and giving she has demonstrated to all of us, and to tens of thousands of people around the world over the last 25 years of selfless service.
