On this clear and lovely morning, we gathered together for Day 2 of the Claiming Our Spiritual Heritage Workshop at the Conference of Service in the main Ballroom of the Universal Sheraton Hotel. Rachael Morgan again opened the meeting, and Sally Kirkland was asked to call in the Light.

Carol Jones, Director of Programs at Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens, presented two videos featuring Prana. One was a segment from an HGTV program on historical Homes of Hollywood, hosted by Carrie Fisher, and included Prana because it was once owned by film choreographer Busby Berkeley. The other was a mini-tour of the fabulous gardens at the Seminary. Carol issued an invitation to all present to come and enjoy the beauty that Prana has to offer. With the new construction almost finished, there will soon be ample opportunity for MSIAers, friends and family to experience the new Dining Room, walk the labyrinth, and meditate among the plants and flowers.

Howard and Jeeni Lawrence came forward to continue facilitating the workshop. We were treated to further video clips from the PAT IV and PAT V journeys to Egypt and Israel, and one very special Moment of Peace, a particularly moving prayer by John-Roger seated at the base of the Sphinx early in the morning.

We engaged once again in the workshop exercises, followed by deep and silent spiritual exercises, and another video clip of J-R and John in Japan and in Ireland. Through all of this, Howard and Jeeni emphasized the great opportunity we have to bring more blessings into our lives, by blessing what is present (even if we don’t like it, or it doesn’t meet our expectations, or it’s a painful issue). They discussed having a personal Light List for “home use”, on which anything or person or situation can be placed in the Light for the Highest Good of All Concerned.

After a thrilling (and from what we could see, a very social) lunch, it was time to head back to the Ballroom for the afternoon session. Ruth Grodek did a marathon fundraiser (of sorts), which was an audience participation activity, for the Insight Founders Training in London at the end of August.

Next, J-R and John were in rare form, answering the deepest questions, taking on all participants with irreverent and touching humor. Three hours of those two Travelers kept us listening carefully, laughing from our hearts, and experiencing all that they had to share.

As J-R moved out of the room, John Morton took us through a deep and serene healing meditation, including lots of visual imagery (and by some accounts a good deal of magic), which was the last section of the workshop. Rachael Morgan closed the program, with thanks to Jeeni and Howard Lawrence.

While the hotel staff set up banquet tables in the Ballroom, cocktail hour followed on the circular lawn, with Pellegrino, hors d’oeuvres, crudit
