When Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy opened the doors to the Brentwood Ballroom in Santa Monica on Thursday night, February 23rd, about 100 people were waiting expectantly for the webcast class on Living Love with John Morton.

The evening was hosted by Rachael Jayne, who called us forward into the Light, and led us in chanting the Ani-Hu (a Sanskrit name of God coupled with a word meaning Empathy). Rachael then introduced a Moment of Peace by John Morton (Spiritual Director of MSIA and PTS) from an Insight IV, in which he discussed his experience of, “I love you just the way you are.” Rachael then introduced John Morton, describing him as one who embodies authentic loving.

John began by sharing that, among the approximately 300 people particpating in the class via the Internet, there were folks tuning in from the Cook Islands (east of Fiji and west of Tahiti in the South Pacific), a first for this series of Internet broadcasts. John read from the new book by John-Roger (Founder of MSIA and a host of other organizations), Living Love from the Spiritual Heart, stating that “love is the essence of all creation.”

NOW Productions played several audio excerpts by John-Roger, one of which asked the question, “Are we keeping our spiritual promise to ourselves, to know God, to love God and each other?” Other J-R audio excerpts touched on loving, caring, sharing, divine love, authentic caring, and the statement that “Love will take you where love wants to go.”

John Morton then read a very touching story about a student who found God by opening to loving when faced with a terminal illness.

John next shared with us 6 of the many keys to living love taken from John-Roger’s new book Living Love from the Spiritual Heart:
1. Look at everything through love.
2. Give up every reason not to be loving.
3. Love yourself first, so that you can love others.
4. Love yourself anyway.
5. Let Divine Loving flow through you.
6. Listen with loving.

After this, the class spent some time in a one-on-one exercise, practicing Living Love. Soon (because it seemed like time passed very quickly), John opened the evening to questions from the audience in the room and on the Internet. Questions included: “How can I gather more evidence that I am
