During a crisp, sunny weekend in Orlando, Florida, 52 participants and 11 staff and assistants from all over the country gathered together to experience the joy of “Meeting the Challenges with Spirit.” Facilitated by the lovely and devoted Angel Gibson and our beloved Traveler, John Morton, DSS, this newly revised PTS workshop was filled with timeless and enduringly wise teachings of John-Roger, DSS. Angel guided us gently through our sharing processes, journal writing, and inner meditations. Then John took questions from participants and shared with us about meeting our challenges by remembering to call upon the Lord, as John-Roger said, “morning, noon and night.”

From Friday evening until Sunday afternoon, we gathered together in loving support of one another, exploring our challenges by tuning in to the power and sweetness of the Inner Master within. We listened to John-Roger present us with challenges and then provide us with his profound, inspiring and comforting words of wisdom to meet them with Spirit. To further strengthen our awareness of that Inner Master, we gathered together early each morning before the workshop began for Spiritual Exercises. Then we shared in trios and small groups about our personal challenges and explored how we can meet them with the divine assistance always present.

On Saturday night, in the midst of the workshop, John Morton graciously blessed us all with an MSIA Seminar for Soul Awareness Discourse subscribers. With his warmth and humor, John reminded us to love one another, and remember that loving our brothers and sisters is a direct extension of loving ourselves.

An abundance of MSIA study materials were sold, including the exquisite new book by John-Roger, Timeless Wisdoms Volume 2, John Morton’s new book, Spiritual Warriors DVDs, meditation CD’s, and MSIA Seminar DVDs. Many of the excerpts presented in the workshop are found on the CD/DVD Words of Comfort for Challenging Times, a powerful compilation of John-Roger and John Morton’s inspiring messages for facing difficulties in the world.

Judy Jackson, North Florida MSIA Representative, held the focus and intention for our wonderful workshop weekend. Judy also deftly organized and arranged for several days of MSIA Services to be held before the workshop, including Aura Balances, Polarity Balances, and Innerphasings. Initiations took place on Sunday afternoon, and a new Florida MSIA Minister received her ordination during our lunch break on Saturday. Sherry Buelow, North Florida PTS Representative, emceed the Workshop and Seminar with grace and ease. Thanks to you both and all who helped with the many details!

The weekend flowed beautifully through the focus and caring camaraderie of our fine Assisting Team — Team Captain Martha Boston, Assistant Team Captain Spencer Whiting, and Team Members Snowden McFall-Whiting, Christine Ashmore, Ezra Mack and yours truly. Translation to Spanish was provided steadily throughout the weekend by Mirtha Valdes-Perez and Nydia Rey. Roger Wakefield joined us from MSIA Staff making sure all went well with the sound and videos. Also from MSIA Staff, Cleora Daily provided staff services and a welcome angelic presence for handling our meals and hotel needs. Thanks to a stellar team!

Due to the generosity of many participants, giving and receiving was in abundance. Many blessings of MSIA study materials and keepsakes were bestowed upon those who made requests. In addition, generous donations made it possible for those with financial challenges to attend the workshop as well as the seminar.

By the end of our weekend, we left with new learnings and renewed connections with one another and Spirit within. As our time together came to a close, we danced with joy, ready to meet the challenges in the world with heartfelt confidence, faith and trust in Spirit. Our jubilant sit-down music says it perfectly, “There is no need to worry and no need to fret. The Lord, God Almighty has never failed me yet. Victory is mine!” — “Victory is Mine,” by Sounds of Blackness, from “The Apostle” soundtrack
