After some time off from Spiritual Warriors Screenings, announcements and running the SW machine last year, I think back on 2008 and I realize how much we did. Clearly without J-R we could never come to this day. With the economy being not so good we were able to rent the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills for an affordable price.
We again printed SW postcards to pass out — and what was new this time was Twitter, Facebook and other forms of email blasting — and of course we prayed to GOD. After three years of promoting Spiritual Warriors, as much as we have learned, as professional as we may try to become, covering all our bases, we could not guarantee attendance Sunday night for the screening. I spent weeks standing outside the Bodhi Tree passing out postcards and Zoe dropped off postcards at all the Urth Cafes.
I arrived at the theatre finally after over a month of promoting Spiritual Warriors and I saw John-Roger arriving with Nat. We decided to have our family entertain our audience. Eric Lumiere, Erik Raleigh and Nat Sharratt performed. As I introduced the movie I looked out and saw a full house of over one hundred folks in the room with our beloved John-Roger. I felt at peace once again. Spiritual Warriors continues to attract folks that look for some kind of Spiritual Awakening. I love you John-Roger.
