The year 2001 was a year of amazing blessings as well as shocking events. The key seemed to be that peace is always present and it is a choice that is presented to us daily.

Kids and Peace — IIWP Presents Workshops for Kids
Recently we had a wonderful opportunity to do a short Peace Workshop for a fifth grade class from the Waldorf School of Orange County California during their visit to Windermere ranch. We started in the morning with a wonderful walk on Windermere ranch looking for symbols of peace, sharing, games to look at peace in action, a reflective imagery process and drawing banners representing the expression of peace. One of the parents commented after the kids returned from their outing that one of the main things they talked about were the peace activities.
In February 2002 IIWP is collaborating with EduCare Foundation and Stu Semigran to launch a Southern California school program called “Peace by Piece,” which is a first step in creating an ongoing culture of peace in the schools there.
