The Unconditionality of Life

Excerpt from “The Rest of Your Life” by John-Roger, DSS with Paul Kaye, DSS.

The ideal of living love is to be unconditionally loving all the time, everywhere. That doesn’t mean that you need to be gushy or emotional. But it does mean being unconditional regardless of any outward appearance. Your inner response from your true self, the core of your being, to any situation, is one of loving unconditionally. The true self loves itself unconditionally so it, therefore, loves all things unconditionally, because the self is all things but has been individualized into a certain form. The true self is the truth, the soul, the spirit.

We’re free to create according to our levels of consciousness and we can create unity; we can also create separation. We are always responsible for our creations. I know from personal experience that to be loving is one of the best things to create because I feel so much happier and joyful when I do it. That’s why I tell people, “Be loving,” because I know that they’re going to feel better if they do it. When people are being loving, unconditionality can start taking place because if that loving is unconditioned, it means that it’s not material, emotional, or mental. It is God in the unconditioned state or the Spirit. In that Spirit there’s no judgment, because it’s not conditioned. We call it the Beloved.

When you attune to the Beloved, you find out that you want to produce unconditional loving and be in that energy field. Those people who are also working in the unconditional energy field start blending together with it. However, if you start to produce unconditional loving with the idea of getting somebody to blend with it, it won’t work. That’s manipulation and you won’t like the consequences. It really has to come from the place of un-condition—no condition. It’s the attitude that however the wind blows is fine with you. And if it doesn’t blow, that’s equally fine. That’s getting into unconditionality. It can be a scary place to be when you are used to being controlling, demanding, and spoiled. But regardless, it is the unconditionality of life that must be lived.

  1. God, this article is describing where I’m at right now. I’m exploring ways that I can communicate living love and what helps and hinders me from doing that. It is quite a ride and journey. Thanks for this excerpt – a wonderful key to help me on my way 🙂

What a timely message. When I look at the conditions going on inside of me that keep me
from loving unconditional loving, one of them is I am in a state of stress. The theme of
this week ‘ to relax’ is the antidote to my condition. Thank you for the excerpt and the
Challenge of the Week, I am blessed and grateful.

  3. El amor es la fuerza que domina todas las cosas. El que no ama, no ha conocido a Dios; porque Dios es amor. 1 de Juan 4:8
