MSIA Presidency Update — September 2022

Interest is building for the first Living in Grace at Asilomar in a few years.   A reminder — the early bird tuition price is good through September 5.   We encourage you to sign up and take advantage of the lower price.    Meanwhile, the PTS Traveler Tour 2023 to Israel is filling up and – good news! — we plan to announce a raffle for a tour participant space very soon.

In July we announced live streaming on the MSIA app has begun, starting with Blessings This Day which shows up as a banner link at the top of the app home page whenever it is broadcast.   The August Global Los Angeles ministers meeting marked a milestone as it was live streamed on the MSIA app for the first time.    Android and iPhone MSIA app users now have another way to view the ministers meetings.   Simply go the MSIA App on your smartphone and make sure you are logged in. A Livestream banner will appear on the home page about 15 minutes before the start of the Ministers Meeting. Simply click on the banner to access the Ministers Meeting stream. The banner will only appear in the App if you are logged in and your Ministerial credentials are active.

The mission of MSIA is to make the teachings available to those who are looking for them.  This focus drove us to create our first website back in the early days of the internet in 1995 and start the Loving Each Day inspirational emails.  Today, we are on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Flickr, and TikTok.

At the footer of every MSIA.org website page you will see the icons for the various platforms that MSIA is on.   Please check them out.  You can also find J-R seminars on Spotify, Google Play, Pandora, and other streaming audio platforms.

It helps give MSIA a bigger public profile when you start following us on the various platforms. For example, becoming a subscriber to MSIA’s YouTube channel, as well as “liking” our content on all the platforms.   It shows the world there is engagement with our offerings.   We plan to share more about MSIA social media in the future.

Our staff member, Gabe Doynel, recently started posting John-Roger videos on TikTok to be part of the surprisingly vast number of spiritual videos available on that platform.   You can go to MSIA’s TikTok page here.

Feel free to share our posts with the #MSIA and let us know what you think!

We like to periodically mention that MSIA is part of the Amazon Charity Smile program.   John and Leigh recently shared about it on Blessing this Day.  If you shop on Amazon, like a lot of us, this program makes donations to your favorite charity (e.g., MSIA) at no extra cost to you.  AmazonSmile donates 0.5% of your eligible purchases on Amazon to MSIA when you set it up in your account.   Shopping at smile.amazon.com is identical to Amazon.com.   Of course, if you already use AmazonSmile, you know what we are talking about as you receive the quarterly email update on how much was donated in MSIA in the prior three months. Huge thanks to all of you who are doing that!

The way it works is simple:

You log in at Smile.Amazon.com instead of just Amazon.com with your regular user name and password.

When you go to this site for the first time it will give you an option of which charity you want to receive their donation.

Select the Church of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness.

You’re done — it’s that easy.

From that point on almost every purchase, you make on smile.amazon.com results in an automatic donation to MSIA. (As of this writing, all Amazon Smile donations to MSIA so far total over $5,500.)

God Bless you and thank you for participating in MSIA and for all that you give back in so many ways. We love and appreciate you.

The MSIA Presidency – Paul, Vincent, and Mark
MSIA Succession – David, Jeffrey, and Anna
