In concert with all the fine work that the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) does in making the Teachings of the Traveler available, they also provide opportunities like the Internet Webcast Class with John Morton held on Tuesday, May 17th, for anyone anywhere in the world who cared to make themselves available for the broadcast. This global class, called Momentum: Letting Love Lead (based upon the book of the same name by Dr. John Roger with Dr. Paul Kaye), covered the core principle which has been taught by most of the world’s religions: Loving is the way to go, all the time, every time, no exceptions.

Deborah Martinez, webmaster for MSIA, Peace Theological Seminary (PTS) and other related organizations, came forward as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening. After welcoming everyone in the room and online, she gave a special “hello” to any Loving Each Day subscribers tuning in who had responded to an invitation to attend this free class (For information on Loving Each Day, a daily inspirational quote by email, go to www.lovingeachday.org/subscribe.phtml).

Deborah gave a short explanation of calling in the Light and the Ani Hu chant, which she likened to coming into attunement with each other and God like a choir tunes up. She then called in the Light and led the chanting of the Ani-Hu. Next she gave a brief introduction to MSIA and Soul Transcendence, and to PTS and learning the lessons of the physical and spiritual worlds. Deborah then introduced John Morton as the facilitator for the evening, a man who “lets love lead him around the world wherever love calls to him.”

John began the class by asking a series of questions regarding Loving, and stated that he, too, did not want to live in a world without Love. He added that the theme, focus, and subject of the class was Loving, “Why let Love lead?,” and “Is it practical to be loving in the world?”

John gave a brief overview of the class, and said that regardless of the format, the class would be about Letting Love Lead. He generously gave one of his blessings that sweetly brought us into loving alignment with the intention of the class.

John introduced a few Tools, including Breathing (followed by a breathing meditation); Forgiveness (we were led through a process of forgiving) and then he told a story about two Zen monks which illustrated the effects of judging; Tool Number 3 was Loving. John encouraged us to find where Love is leading us, even if we aren’t following, and to love even the negative. He proceeded with a meditation, an exercise in Loving regardless, no matter what.

For a few minutes we were asked to work in pairs, taking turns discussing how Love is leading us from the inside out. John then called in the Light again, and stated he would take questions from attendees wherever they were. He specifically asked for anyone from Africa to sign in make themselves known as MSIA now has a volunteer group called REACH which is reaching out to Nigeria in particular. Next, John introduced Dr. Paul Kaye, co-author of the book Momentum: Letting Love Lead, who spoke about the essence of Loving.

The questions, from particpants on the Internet and in the audience, touched on: fearful thoughts of death; the differences between psychology and spirituality; how to be less affected by psychic energies; and how to let Love lead under difficult circumstances. John’s responses were generally about being willing to love, accepting and honoring oneself, forgiving, seeing the perfection of God’s love, and demonstrating loving.

John closed the evening with “Baruch Bashan,” which means the Blessings Already Are. Deborah Martinez then shared a few announcements, and invited everyone to attend the next Internet broadcast with John Morton on Thursday, June 16th at 6:30 p.m. pacific daylight time. This will be a Q&A and sharing session with John which coincides with the last class in the 5 week Momentum: Letting Love Lead series which is being held in Santa Monica, CA. So, if you’ve been trying out the 3 tools from this webcast class, you are welcome to come to the Q&A with questions or sharings about those tools and letting Love lead. We invite you to participate in this Q&A on the Internet at www.msia.org/live or if you live in the Los Angeles area, please join us at 2101 Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica. The event is free of charge and no registration is necessary to participate online. Registration at the door will begin at 5:30 p.m.
