Touching down in Santa Monica, California, from August 7 through 11 was the transformational spiritual event known as Insight Super II: The Authentic Heart Seminar. If there was any place on the planet you might have wished to be during these five days, the Brentwood Ballroom at 2101 Wilshire Boulevard was it! For the third year in a row, John-Roger, John Morton, and Candace Semigran generously donated their time to an extraordinary fundraiser for Insight Seminars Worldwide, a continuing education division of the University of Santa Monica. 68 participants and 23 assistants took part in this year’s Super II. This fundraiser event raised over $180,000 for Insight Worldwide.
First offered in the mid to late 1980’s, Insight Super II returned in the year 2000, after an almost ten year absence, and has been offered each year since. The Super II is an opportunity to spend five days standing forward in the authenticity of your true self, while supporting and being supported by Souls carrying forward some of the clearest levels of intention to be found. As Candace Semigran, one of the three facilitators, noted: “Super II, The Authentic Heart Seminar, is the most incredibly powerful and healing seminar offered by Insight Seminars. It is only for those committed to their own Spirit — and prepared to receive the blessings of their own Authentic Heart.” So, for any of you considering Super II participation in the future, let there be no doubt that intention is the ticket, and the destination is loving like you have never experienced it before.
To assist and support participants in receiving the greatest value that they can from themselves, their experience, and the seminar itself, Candace Semigran is joined by none other than John-Roger and John Morton. Candace Semigran offers an impeccable facilitating ability. John-Roger is not only the founder of Insight Seminars, but is also the founder and Chancellor of The University of Santa Monica (USM) and the founder of The Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA), among many other organizations and foundations. John Morton is the Spiritual Director of MSIA, sits on the Board of Trustees of USM, and like his friend and teacher J-R, gives of his time and wisdom in too many organizations and avenues to accurately describe or mention here.
Simply the opportunity to sit in a room for five days with Candace Semigran, John Morton, and John-Roger, brings many participants from around the world. I have never met a group of individuals who are so dedicated to the education, upliftment, growth and healing of those around them than these three. The value that they offer of their authentic selves is beyond measure, and their dedication and professionalism toward showing up and putting their bodies on the line for Spirit and those that they serve is astounding. What is left is for each of us to choose what we make of what is offered, and to go inside, finding this value in ourselves, and bringing this forward into the world.
What happens inside the seminar room is “big”. It is the type of big that goes beyond the astronomical scale, and can only be truly measured by the depth and expansiveness of our loving hearts. It is that kind of big. I recall that at one moment toward the end of the day on Saturday, as one participant expressed the authenticity of their loving heart, I looked inside and could no longer find a reference point for who I was prior to participating in my first Insight II. It is that kind of big.
The only thing I can really say is that from August 7, 2002, until August 11, 2002, loving touched down on Earth. It resided in the hearts of sixty eight participants, twenty four assistants, three facilitators, and a few hundred guests on the evening of Super II graduation. To say more would only be lying to you by inaccurately describing the beauty and power of God.
