An Australian Tale of the Conference of Coming Home

Article imageWay back in February, four of us decided we were going to MSIA’s Conference of Coming Home in LA. Adelene, Lodi, Roslyn and I made the choice to put our bodies where our hearts are, even though some of us didn’t quite know how we were going to do it. We are all four of us interested in the expansion of MSIA in Australia, and we wanted to use this time to grow closer together, get to know us better, and to consolidate some ideas. So we kept in touch and encouraged each other, and received lots of encouragement from LA. And lo and behold, on the 2nd of July we were grinning at each other in the Sheraton Universal Hotel where Conference took place. We were full of joy and excitement, and met up with other Australians who had chosen to be present.

The Conference started early for us, as we are representing MSIA in Australia as Seminar, MSIA, Products and PTS Reps. So we attended the Representatives Meeting on July 3rd, and were immediately enfolded by Loving, Laughter and Grace. I cannot adequately describe the experience of being present at such a meeting, yet I shall try. It was delightful, delicious, delectable… an absolute feast for both psyche and Soul! We talked to and hugged people we knew by name, but had never met. These “names” we had emailed to and discussed MSIA business with, now actually have faces, voices, smiles, and energies to match them! We met such people as Gary Bearman, Helen Bradley, Carol Jones, Margarita Trujillo, Deborah Martinez and Angel Gibson. And many, many more, of course; simply too many to mention by name. That’s when our Bliss Fest started.

We attended the Soul Initiation Workshop, the PTS Graduation ceremony, the IIWP Donors Event, the PTS Coming Home Workshop, and the MSIA Ministers’ and Initiates’ Meetings. These events are so beautifully reported in the electronic NDH, that I will not even try to tell you about them. Suffice it to say that being there was an absolute DeLight!

We were so very happy and privileged to be present when J-R and John made themselves available, and shared of themselves during these gatherings. I was particularly touched by the way J-R and John love and support each other, and how that in turn is reflected in the MSIA community. The integrity and dedication I see are exemplary. So what I have witnessed is that when we are open, willing to share, with a loving intent to serve, then Love and Peace are tangibly present in the room. And this was so.

One of the things I’d like to mention is the set-up of the rooms, hallways and products areas. We are totally impressed with the evident attention to detail. Nothing less than loving dedication could have resulted in the stunning displays, the feast for the eyes, provided by the Assisting, Products, and NOW Productions Teams. Thank you all so much for all your effort and loving service! You are Legendary!!!

On the Saturday evening of the Conference workshop, we enjoyed ourselves at the dinner, and whenever I remembered that I now have a camera, I managed to capture some images for posterity. See the brilliant purple flowers on the table? They were in especially made HU-pots. Told ya… the attention to detail during the conference was exquisite!!

We also attended the IIWP Blessings Brunch on the Monday afternoon. Wow…! What a present to give ourselves!! We arrived early, took a leisurely stroll in the neighbourhood, and sat down to an exquisite lunch. Blessings were requested and some, to my certain knowledge, were almost immediately received. The thing with Blessings though, is that they may be of such a subtle nature; they just keep being extended, even when we are not conscious of it. So I am still receiving, I reckon… and I am grateful. In short, lunch was delicious, as were John and the Blessings. In relation to expanding our MSIA family within Australia, we ask that we may bring forth harmony, communication, clarity, devotion and discipline.

And this was not the end for these four Aussie Angels! Oh no… once we do something, we do it thoroughly and in style!! We rented a comfortable car and drove to Windermere, where we had previously requested a bed for two nights. An easy two hour drive from the hotel we were staying at, and quite an experience with three blissed-out ladies as passengers!

On arrival we were welcomed by Glenn Barnett, the first of two of the sweetest welcomes I’ve ever had the privilege to receive. He showed us the Church House where we would sleep, told us all the info and little hints that made it so easy to settle in. The next day Glenn drove us around Windermere in a “mule”, a sturdy little vehicle that could take the weight of all of us, up & down the hills of the property. Great fun! Glenn also showed us The Swing, and allowed us time to play… even more fun!!

Our stay at Windermere was peaceful and serene. A much appreciated rest after the tremendous amount of people at the Conference. For two hot, lazy and languid days we sat, walked, and talked together. We spent some time by ourselves, did some SEs, and one of us even had a bath! In short, we did have loads of opportunities to grow closer together and we had a wonderful time doing so. And what better way to do this, than playing together…?

All during our visit to the US we received these delicious little surprises, that Spirit and Its Angels delight us with. At one time we were told to be ready for a surprise… and can you imagine our faces when we were offered a ride in a beautifully restored horse-drawn BUGGY. George, who was driving, told us that some horses had only recently started to become comfortable in the harness.

On our last evening at Windermere we shared a meal with the staff and all the others staying there at the time. A pot-luck meal, pooling all our food resources, which resulted in a cooperative, sumptuous spread. Champignon/broccoli/cauliflower pasta (yum!), American and Australian salads, vegetarian sausages, and fruit salad as dessert. All seasoned with a good sprinkle of Joyous Laughter, and washed down with Good Spirits.

I did not want to go. Our stay was not long enough for me to feel complete. So then and there I decided I shall return next year for a longer visit to Windermere.
There was only one reason I was not too sad when it was time to leave next morning. We were driving back to LA for a visit to Prana.

We had another easy, grace-filled car trip, and arrived at Prana in time for lunch. As soon as we got to the door, Marjorie Eaton welcomed us to Prana with the same wonderful warmth as Glenn had two days previous. The second of two of the sweetest welcomes I’ve ever been privileged to receive. Ever. How do they do that? How do they make it possible to feel so appreciated and loved at first contact? Marjorie has that gift. We were shown the room where three of us would stay. Roslyn had to catch her flight home to Australia at this stage. The room was made up with loving attention to detail: a huge vase with fresh flowers, large fluffy towels and a specially selected soap for each of us, and all the colours matched and were pleasing to the eye. All greens, violets, lilacs and white… my favourites. Who needs the Sheraton Universal Hotel?!

At first I did not feel quite comfortable in the stately and luscious surroundings I found myself in. Compared to the quiet and relaxed atmosphere we’d been enjoying over the last two days, Prana’s lunchtime appeared busy at first. Everyone seemed to have a purpose, and I felt rather useless. That soon passed! Walking around the gorgeous gardens is an excellent cure for mental misconceptions, and everyone we met was welcoming and approachable. Each and every person was friendly, open, and generous, perceptive and helpful. So I found Prana to be as peace-filled and
