An Uplifting First Webcast of the Year with John Morton in 2008

We come to gather whenever the Traveler offers to give an Open Question and Answer Seminar in Santa Monica. I truly love these live webcasts with John Morton because they are a great opportunity to sit in Satsang with the Traveler, and they are a great opportunity to meet and share with others who are going in the same direction (that would be Home to the Heart of God).

In the upstairs lobby there was lively conversation, and few new faces, and Nat Sharratt’s music from Walking In Paradise playing over the speakers when we entered the Brentwood Ballroom at the 2101 Building. (The 2101 Building is on the corner of 21st and Wilshire, from which one can see all the way to the Pacific Ocean. In any season, the view is something for postcards, truly.)

Alexandra Roberts, our MC, brought us into a quiet, welcoming us, and calling us forward into the Light. As we chanted the Ani-Hu there was a feeling of peace and calm that pervaded the room. Next, it was delightful to have Tom Boyer playing a “wind synthesizer” (a sort of electronic version of a clarinet), and accompanying Susan Frye singing “When You Wish Upon a Star”, and leading a sing-along of “Happy Trails to You.” What fun!

MSIA’s president, Paul Kaye, brought us a video segment of GodIsYourPartner.tv, with tales about tithing and seeding from Joan and Frank Cardamone. Then, Jsu Garcia shared a bit about Spiritual Warriors (the movie), and asked for Light to be sent to upcoming screenings in Colombia, and in the Los Angeles area.

As Alexandra Roberts introduced John Morton, Spiritual Director of Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA), there were folks tuned in via the Internet from as far away as Russia, Ghana, Nigeria, Colombia, Canada, and all across the U.S.A. John said first that MSIA is a focus for doing what we can in this world; and then he began to read and discuss some letters that he had received, touching on a range of subjects such as Loving, Sharing, Taking Care of Ourselves, Acceptance, Forgiveness, and Ministry of Service.

John then led us in a spiritual exercise / meditation that involved simply breathing, which seemed to unburden and lift us all into a higher harmonic, and restored us in a subtle way.

When John began the Q & A, people sent in questions from Buenos Aires, Denver, Miami, Hawaii, as well as people right there in the ballroom with us. Subjects covered: How to bring in greater health and wealth; how to become more aware and loving; how to access and verify one’s own wisdom; how to not be afraid; how to live in expansion rather than contraction; how to serve loved ones who have passed over, and those left behind; how to over-come self-doubt. In responding to all of the diverse subjects, John kept reminding us to go inside, where all relationships reside, where wisdom resides, where partnership with God resides, where forgiveness and loving and truth reside.

It was a powerful evening, with a wonderful sense of connectedness among us all. After John said “Baruch Bashan” (which means, The Blessings Already Are), Alexandra Roberts came back up to tell us about the new book by Dr. John-Roger called Timeless Wisdoms as well as a new DVD by John-Roger called Are You Lifting Or Opressing Your Spirit? These are available in our online store or by calling (323) 737-4055.

Do you have a question? The next Internet webcast with John Morton will be on Tuesday, February 19th, at 6:30 pm PST, when the subject will be “Rest and Rejuvenation in the Beloved Within.” Join us at www.msia.org/live.
