Days 1 — 3 of the MSIA Travel Staff’s Trip to the Midwest, 2008

Article image MSIA travel staff are currently in the Midwest, providing MSIA Services (Innerphasings, Polarity Balances & Aura Balances) as well as MSIA events. Staff member, Angel Gibson, provides this update from the trip:

DAY 1 – Saint Louis

It’s on-the-road again. This morning I’m up at 4am to get ready for my flight to St. Louis. Ah, those early morning rise and shines–I’d forgotten about them. Still it’s kind of fun to be underway again. Cleora Daily and I are the advanced contingent for the Midwest MSIA trip. My flight is easy and I get to my hotel in plenty of time to get ready for an MSIA Service. Judy Hunter, the St. Louis MSIA Rep, warmly greets me and it’s time to go to work for just a bit. Right as I’m finished Cleora appears and we’re off for a little walk in the balmy 80 degrees, dinner al fresco, and catching up before it’s time for a few emails and sleep.

DAY 2 – Saint Louis

Well, it’s rain and thunderstorms today in St. Louis as we get ready to drive over to Marion and John Commerford’s home for Services. We love going to the Commerfords…it’s like coming home from college to Mom and Dad who are just waiting to hug you and feed you. Yes, Marion is a baker and cook, among her many virtues and skills, par excellence. Today there is banana bread, lemon muffins, chocolate chip cookies, and apple and blueberry bread…just for starters ….and we haven’t even gotten to lunch yet! Also on hand to greet us are Judy Hunter and Beverly O’Shea and Elizabeth Frumin, one of our balancers-in-training. Our day whips along as more of our ol’ St. Louis friends come in. Lunch is divine…of course…and all the more special as we share memories with Marion and John from years of staff visits to their home. Cleora and I leave happily nurtured to go back for a little quiet time (reading emails for me) and just a quick look at “Life” on TV. Then it’s lights off and dream time–hopefully with the Traveler!

DAY 3 – St. Louis (and Chicago too)

While we’re on our way to Services today in St. Louis, Vincent Dupont and lovely Lesley Freeman-Dupont are winging their way towards Chicago. Once again Cleora and I are warmly welcomed by the Commerfords. As Services progress, the yummy smells of fresh turkey roasting waft through the house. At lunch we laugh and enjoy more stories over the wonderful turkey and salad. I finally succumb to the taste of Marion’s delicious lemon cupcakes. More friends stop by for Services and then we’re done and off to join the community for dinner at a fun dining spot called Pujols named for a local Cardinal baseball player. Laura McBride has organized a community dinner here in our own private room. John McBride calls us together into the Light and our buffet begins. Afterwards we take time to go around the table and place into the Light or bless anything that comes to us. I’m struck once again how when ” two or more are gathered in my name” the presence of the Christ and the Traveler is among us. We also share back and forth fun stories and memories of times with J-R and John in St. Louis and on trips like PAT IVs and Vs. The presence among us reminds me of J-R’s wonderful seminar here in St. Louis about The One Accord; a number of us in the room were there for that one back in the ’80’s. Well, we spend time saying and hugging goodbyes and thank-yous and then Cleora and I head back to our room. It’s a packing night tonight for tomorrow we travel to Kalamazoo. Light ahead to us and to Vincent and Lesley who have hopefully have settled into Chicago and will be doing Services and a workshop there tomorrow.
