On the weekend of April 18 and 19 our brothers and sisters of the Los Angeles MSIA Latin Community participated in the EXPO CONCIENCIA COSMICA that took place at the Masonic Lodge in San Gabriel, California.

What struck me about this event — which was the first one that the MSIA Latin community as such participated in outside of Prana — was the commitment, loving, caring and enthusiasm of the team of volunteers. They really gave it all they had, and I think that is what makes the difference in any aspect of life in which we participate. When we are giving all we’ve got, the Christ completes the action, and excellence is present. As the senior of the group I could not help but feel proud of them.

One person donated a new carpet the size of the booth, another loaned his recently acquired Plasma TV, and another loaned his DVD player with 5 speakers. Jsu would have been pleased with the quality of the equipment we used to show the Spiritual Warriors movie.

When we arrived on Friday at the Expo to start the set-up, we found out that the places were smaller than what we had been promised. This worked in our favor because we were given the stage, so we ended having 3 times more space. The MSIA booth was the best one; it was as if the Traveler was presiding over it all.

Another aspect that was touching to me was to see the MSIA Latin students for the first time in a role of doing outreach, talking to people of all kinds about their experience of studying the Teachings of Soul Transcendence. One lady was so enthused that she said “we could have a booth at Venice beach every Sunday.” We’ll see about that.
