“I Love you. God Bless You. Peace, be still.” This is by far the best self-talk we can do for ourselves. This phrase can create health and well-being in our lives and spread peace around us anywhere we go. How do we do this? Rev. Dr. Jackie Peterson shared her experiences with these phrases with us on the May 2nd “Choosing the Loving” Spiritual Spa Day at Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens.

Jackie Peterson has studied with MSIA for many years. She is an MSIA minister and facilitator for PTS . She was one of the first residents of Prana back in 1974, and was married in the very room where she presented the workshop.
She began by reading us a poem by Kahlil Gibran: “I awake at dawn with a winged heart, and give thanks for another day of loving.” Jackie says that is one of her goals — to awaken each day with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving. That is partially the goal of the Spa Day. She says that she has been working on loving all her life.
She started with Calling in the Light. “Living in God’s Holy Thoughts”. We then did the Ani-Hu chant where “Hu” is an ancient term for God and “Ani” is a tone of empathy. She explained that we are bringing ourselves into empathy with God.
Using “I love you, God Bless You, Peace, be still.” Jackie reminded us that words can affect us. Words can change us. When we place out negative judgments, they can us turn negative inside. When she says inside, “I love you, God Bless You, Peace, be still,” she lifts herself. The inner language, what she says inside herself, affects her. Even saying something without meaning it can affect you. How I live inside of me affects the outer life outside of me.
“When you speak of God, you attune yourself to God.”
