How Do You Get More? John-Roger, 1982

I’m Glad You Asked!

This Q & A with John-Roger was originally published in The Movement Newspaper, 1972 Vol. 1.

QUESTION:

If a person gets rid of all his present earthly karma, is he free of the earth?

ANSWER:

We have chosen the incarnation pattern for this particular physical life through a process of inner heavenly counselling with the members of the karmic board. We have set up certain paths that we will follow. When we have fulfilled and dispensed with the karma that we have agreed to complete this time, we then are living in the free; we are not necessarily going to “die” and transcend the body. We may very well, at that point, elect to bring forward karma from another condition and work it through here and now, or we may decide to sit and hold the Light for somebody else who is having difficulty, to assist them in working through their karma. Some people will “die” when their karma is completed; they come to the end of it and they’re through; they’re gone; they experience what people call “death,” though they may return to earth to fulfill other karma not agreed upon in that life expression. Or, that may also be the end of earth incarnations. It depends upon each individual person.

QUESTION:

When we have left the physical plane, we may have moved up to the causal realm of Light and established ourselves there. Is there karma to be worked out there?

ANSWER:

There is karma in every realm from the Soul Realm down. Every realm below the Soul Realm is involved in the realms of negativity or the psychic-material worlds. Only when you get into pure Spirit in the Soul Realm, do you actually stand free in your own Light. Up to that point, you may very well see your Light by reflection.

QUESTION:

A lot of times I feel a sensation like being whipped out of the body with a turning motion or a tumbling backward motion or a pulling motion; or I experience a light-headedness. A lot of times I maybe doing something physically that I can’t stop because stopping might endanger some one else or myself or some object. So I block those feelings and experiences. Would I “take off” if I gave into them?

ANSWER:

No, you wouldn’t take off. You wouldn’t take off even if you didn’t block it. You would just go through that phase. When you have these feelings, the consciousness often is being lifted. But also, we would want you to make sure that medically your body is sound and that you are not suffering some form of disease in the body which would account for those symptomatic processes. That would be a level I would suggest you check rather rapidly. Then, if you get an “A-OK” from the medical people, you would want to watch the projection from another point of view. These feelings can be feelings of travel. They are feelings. They are pretty symptomatic. Often, when people are exteriorizing, they may feel like they are tumbling backwards out of the body. Then they find themselves back away from the body, saying, ” Who’s that down there?” It very well could be that that is the physical body.

QUESTION:

Would you explain karma?

ANSWER:

The ancient law was almost like “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.ā€ This would be the law of Moses. We have updated it and we say “cause and effect.ā€ Because you do this, this is the effect. And because there is an effect, there must then be another cause. You are the cause, the effect, and then the recause — which is reincarnation. And if youā€™re not careful, you get to do another effect, cause, effect, cause, and it’s called the wheel of return or history repeating itself. However, it’s very difficult to put your foot in a river in the exact same spot every time because it’s always moving, even though it may look like it’s in the same place. Some things will be similar, but the essence will have shifted. And of course, karma in itself just means action or movement. When you say “karma” you really would have to add “good” or “bad” because the dharma of life is just that thing which you are going through It’s neutral; it is neither good nor bad by its nature. I think that many people who have read the ten cent type of novel or spiritual-psychic things have equated karma with bad. It’s not; it just means action.

QUESTION:

Am I to understand that you take trips out of your physical body without using the imagination, and that you are teaching this process to your students? Is this done in the form of a third dimensional body or in some other form?

ANSWER:

The process of using the imagination, as most of us have developed it, would be like closing your eyes and “being” in Paris at the Eiffel Tower; opening your eyes and being back here. That’s a process of projected imagination. That’s a lower level of consciousness; we’re not dealing in that. We are moving our levels past the body process, past the physical planes, into consciousness, which is really the only thing that we are considering. We are moving our levels of consciousness. As you do this, you’ll move into a phase of reality that can be reportable back through a physical form and verified by another physical form who has experienced the same reality. The Consciousness actually moves . Now, there are many ways to do this. You can do an astral projection, an emotional projection, a mental projection, an etheric projection. We deal with the Soul projection, moving the awareness into that which is divine and establishing the awareness of consciousness there, and then flowing with it.

  1. I love the return of the questions and answers! And hope to see more “re-runs.”

Many years ago, I submitted a question, got an answer, and I’m still using the answer because it was extremely helpful for an on-going situation.
