Events in San Francisco with John Morton, December 2011

Our San Francisco visit is a wonderful pre-Grace warm-up and Christ-mass launching this year. Earlier in the week we had a Marathon Extravaganza Day of J-R seminars, excerpts and Moments of Peace which was capped by a pre-screening of the film, The Wayshower. There were services’ days that flanked a beautiful grace-filled day in Napa Valley with Wayshower book workshop and signing with luncheon at The Rubicon vineyard. Sharon Trieste, our Northern California MSIA rep, seemed to be everywhere organizing services, liaisoning with Zoe at the Rubicon, and touching in with her amazing and highly effective event team captains.

We came to Saturday and our Northern California family opened their hearts to host the San Francisco Open MSIA Seminar. This is such a festive event in a lovely new location, the Marriott Fisherman’s Wharf hotel. The team captains extraordinaire moved into action: Bonny O’Daniels the in-room events TC, Sindy Wilkinson: Registration TC and Joy Orevik,-Pre-registration TC. Their crews were so gracious, capable and efficient that by the time the doors opened ease and grace prevailed and a lot of smiles.

Ken Walsh, our dashing MC, welcomed the group like an old hand. Adriana Calambas called us into the Light, and the evening’s contributors began a program orchestrated to prepare a warm-hearted space for the Traveler to be with us. Taras Lumiere started us off with a tender ballad he and Diane Lumiere co-wrote called “Song for A Young Woman,” then our dear Joe Millar shared two of his poems, The Telephone Man and To J-R. His perfect words evoked such tender images for us. Now Productions then presented their “World Premiere” of new offerings video and CD, including a special DVD of excerpts of Christmas J-R seminars from the old days–a must have!!! Leanna Sharp took us to overflowing love with her original song “Song of my Soul” and then Heavenly Dunsheath-Reyna took us to the heavens as her pure voice sang of “Great Compassion” in both English and Mandarin.

We were perfectly positioned in love and sweetness to fly on with the Traveler, John Morton. And soar we did as John wove a tapestry of teachings of Soul Transcendence for all of us and especially those who were new at this open seminar. He reminded us that there’s no moment when we are abandoned or forsaken by the Spirit as he brought to mind that beautiful portrait of “Footprints”, that during our most challenging and difficult times we are carried by the Spirit, even if we don’t always know it at the time. He again reminded us that if we but seek first the Kingdom of Heaven, all the rest will be added unto us….and much much more.

And there is much much more the next morning, Sunday, when the Northern California Ministers and Initiates gather for a Q&A with the Traveler with those from Russia, Switzerland, South America, the east coast and London, Australia and other places far and near. Jan Elpers, our lovely MC, welcomes the group and this time Daniel Martinez steps forward to call in the Light as he reads a special Blessing from John Morton’s book, You Are the Blessings”. There are more musical offerings to sweeten the space, starting with Eden Pudenberry’s singing a Chanukah song Mao Zur. Taira Restar dances her original “The Breath” as a blessing for all of us, and Laila Millar leads us with joy in a Christmas Spiritual “Behold That Star”.

John is welcomed to be with us and he starts with a little humor saying he is there to do Q&A, that is, he’ll ask the questions and we get to provide the answers. Much is covered during our session with John on the outer and the Traveler within us. Ultimately for me it is all about love and doing whatever we need to get back to the love and the loving. It’s just that simple though not always easy to do. John finishes and departs to make his way around the bend to his next stop – Living in Grace. With joyful Souls and happy hearts we hug, kiss and laugh with our many friends and MSIA family as we pack up the equipment into the truck that is also on its way to Grace at Asilomar. Our deep thanks to Roger Wakefield, Richard Price, Phil Danza, and Brooke Danza for their work as the NOW crew for these events. A special thanks to Ezra Mack for his willingness to put his body on the line once again to help out the NOW crew, and to each person who assisted before, during and after these events. Your precious assistance makes “Light” work for all of us. And most of all we are grateful for J-R’s presence that was in and around our hearts so fully.

So now it’s time for more Grace for all of us this week, whether you’re there in person, on-line or in Spirit, partake and enjoy Living in Grace this week and every week.
