October Q&A Event with John Morton & John-Roger in Santa Monica, CA, and Live on the Internet Worldwide

Article imageOn Tuesday, October 8, participants filled the Brentwood Ballroom in Santa Monica, CA, and logged on to the Internet for the monthly Q&A event with John Morton, and special guest John-Roger. David Bransky was the MC for the event, which was sponsored by the Church of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA). For the first time we had participants online in Uzbekistan and China.

David offered appreciation to John-Roger, John Morton, and the MSIA Presidency (Paul Kaye, Vincent DuPont, and Mark Lurie), for what they do to make these evenings available. David welcomed newcomers to the event, called in the Light, and the group chanted the Ani-Hu (Hu is an ancient Sanskrit name for God and Ani invokes empathy). David recounted a funny story about his first MSIA seminar, in his usual witty way.

David then introduced Eric Albrecht. Eric played his guitar and sang a very sweet song he wrote about his mother, who passed over recently.

Then David introduced John Morton, Spiritual Director of MSIA, author, lecturer, and peacemaker. John opened the evening by reading an email sent to him recently, The Lord’s Prayer translated from the original Aramaic. He then went on to read another email titled, “Why We Love Children”, containing some very funny jokes by and/or about children.

John then checked to see if John-Roger was participating in the Q&A as well (and he was), and then began the Question and Answer session, taking questions from participants in the Brentwood Ballroom and on the Internet.

Topics covered by both J-R and John were: What are some keys about loving people we don’t like? How can I know when to pursue something when the enthusiasm wanes? How can I understand the meanings of my dreams when they are disturbing? How can I forget after forgiving? What are some keys for spontaneous joy and laughter? How can I experience loving and openness when I am in the moment, rather than waiting? How can I do more listening to God, and see God? What can I do to prepare for an upcoming surgery? How can I live in harmony with others? How can I lift above my dis-comfort zone? How can I determine if my physical symptoms are spiritually based? What can you tell me about the Lost Continent of Atlantis? How can I have awareness of a friendship with God? How can I have more spiritual awareness when my work is so challenging? How can I know what is God and what is ego speaking? If there is nothing in this world that is against us, what can we tell people who are caught up in big events, such as the Holocaust?

John & J-R answered with loving, caring, humor, and understanding. The online participant in Uzbekistan asked a question, as did the online participant in China who happened to be a friend of Alan Ross, an MSIA student who was present in the Brentwood Ballroom. It was an enlightening and enjoyable evening for all.

John closed the evening with a blessing that was sweet and clear.
