On Sunday, October 1st, the spirit of Blessings was rich in the air at Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens. The event was a PTS workshop called “Blessings”, facilitated by John Morton.
Invitations had been sent out to new inquiries, including people whose previous experience with PTS and MSIA had only been to visit the house and gardens. Also invited were first and second year Discourse subscribers. The intention was that this workshop would be a support for them to immerse themselves in an all day experience of the teachings of Soul Transcendence. The reaching out paid off. First-timers to a PTS class came, as well as a nice mix of old-timers and those new to Discourses.
The day was cool with a light breeze, and clouds hung low covering the sky, creating an effect of indirect light, unusual for Southern California. It was like we were in a blanket of comfort and support, ease and grace. John Morton delivered a wonderful introduction to the Light and the principles of seeing all of life, including the challenges, as blessings.
The crowd of about a hundred gathered in the large seminar room and ornate foyer for some simple, elegant, one-on-one processes done with a partner, and after enjoying an amazing spread for lunch, participated in a beautiful question and answer session with John.
It was just a blessed day. People said it was like the “old days”, with a Traveler in the house, a great group of folks ready to learn, love, laugh and have fun, and all topped off with terrific eats! Thanks to John Morton, Zoe Golightly for inspiration for the day, all the cooks and assistants, and especially all of you who showed up to partake. The blessings truly already are.
