The Institute for Individual & World Peace (IIWP) gave us all an experience of peace at the Gathering of Peacemakers evening at the Conference of Spiritual Promise. Paul Kaye, one of MSIA’s three presidents, acted as Master of Ceremonies, and he did not disappoint in his mastery of gentle good humor.

After he called in the Light (an invocation of God), he introduced Joan Shea, who has been instrumental (along with Beth Hinman) in the dissemination of the World-Wide Peace Prayers. Joan led us in some lovely exercises in visualizing Peace, while repeating the Peace Prayer: “I love you, God bless you, Peace, be still, I give you my Peace.”

After we watched a couple of Moment of Peace videos, Paul led a lively “inner discussion” of the Adopt-A-Horse program at Windermere Ranch. He was assisted in this by Emily John, who played Celtic harp while we searched our hearts for those qualities that would assist each of us.

Eric Lumiere took our breath away, with his guitar and an original song called “Honor Life.” His voice was both sweet and rich. Then Nathaniel Sharratt played his guitar, and sang his latest song, “Golden Eyes”, which had a lovely and haunting quality to it.

Paul Kaye then introduced Jsu Garcia, and in a playful mode he invited us to upcoming viewings of “Spiritual Warrior” (his wonderful film written with John-Roger, Founder of MSIA), at various locations and dates.

John Morton, Spiritual Director of MSIA and IIWP, was brought up to the stage, and he began by leading us through a very serene meditation, blessing and guided imagery, focused on Peace at every level, and Peace on Earth. Once we had come back to here and now, he opened the floor to questions and answers. He demonstrated sweet patience and loving, and demonstrated his trust in Spirit with his keenly crafted answers.

At the end of the seminar, Prana’s own Marjorie Eaton was asked to play her harp, and with deft fingers she encouraged us toward yet another level of inner and outer peace. The evening ended with Baruch Bashan, which means The Blessings Already Are.
