It was Saturday, kind of cold and windy. But the sun was out as we began our monthly Spiritual Spa Day at Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens. Folks came from lots of places, maybe the sun would hold out at least until we walked the labyrinth in the afternoon. We gathered in the seminar room to begin the theme for the day –“Seek Ye First the Kingdom of Heaven”…and Goodness shall be yours on all levels. Wow, OK, I said to myself. Wouldn’t I like to experience goodness here, there, and everywhere? You bet I would!
Nick and Deborah Segal, our facilitators for the day, led us through some fun and enlightening concepts. Here’s one…”what you put out, you get back.” Here’s another…If you give from a little opening inside, what you receive comes through the same little opening. If you expand that opening, well then, guess what? You receive more. Give love. Receive love. Give of your abundance, and receive more abundance. Give to God. Receive goodness on all levels. Wahoo, that’s the theme of the day! Got it.
Oh, then came brunch. This was Cordon Bleu Chef, Victoria Ross’s spa day maiden voyage, and boy, did we sail with her delicious gourmet menu. Spinach Salad with Gorgonzola and Toasted Almonds, Grilled Red and Green Peppers with Asparagus and Zucchini, Chicken Apple Sausages, Scrambled Eggs with Corn and Cheese, Baked Maple Blueberry French Toast, and signature Guava Empanadas and miniature Yucca Cheese Rolls. And let’s top it all off with fresh Tropical Fruit Salad with Whipped Cream and fresh brewed organic Urth Caff
