MSIA Ministers in Spain Respond to the Train Bombings in Madrid

Below are excerpts taken from email correspondence with MSIA Minister Marcos Cajina in Spain after the train bombings on March 11, 2004.

MARCH 11, 2004 — from MSIA Minister Marcos Cajina to MSIA Minister David Rodgers, also the Managing Director for the Institute for Individual & World Peace

David,

Please hold the Light for Spain after the terrorist attacks that have occurred today, where more than 125 people have been killed. On March 14th there are general elections in Spain and the country needs Light to remain serene when voting. It seems that a terrorist group has perpetrated the attack. The Peace prayer process begins on Monday and I will be holding the Light and peace in Spain. I have already shared this process with many MSIA ministers.

Today there is a meditation organized by a MSIA minister to place Light and love.

Please pass on this request for Light for the highest good to those people whom you consider appropriate.

Thank you / Gracias,
Marcos Cajina

MARCH 11, 2004 — from David Rodgers to Marcos Cajina

Marcos,

Consider it done. Monday starts the 32-Day Worldwide Peace Prayer and that vision will include Spain and all those affected. Thanks for your note and your encouragement to send the Light of God’s loving.

Love and Light,

David

MARCH 12, 2004 — from Marcos Cajina to David Rodgers

Thank you David,

It is a privilege to serve Spirit in Madrid by holding Light, love and laughter where there is sorrow, despair and rage.

Love and Light,
Marcos

Peace my Friend,

I noticed a very interesting thing in California after the September 11th attacks in NY. As you can imagine we, in Los Angeles, are separated by thousands of miles from the actual site of the attack. Of course we all have friends that lived nearby the twin-towers that we were not sure for awhile how they were affected.

Shortly after the initial shock of the event, people everywhere seemed to be taking more time with each other. They seemed more caring, more focused on their loved ones and more than that they reached out to others they didn’t even know. You could feel that caring in the air. It was tangible and it had a real comforting to it. It was a real blessing in the midst of tragedy.

My love and Light to you. I know how much you care and how deeply you feel for the people in your country and for all of them as hu-man beings. The loving makes a difference,

David

MARCH 12, 2004 — from John Morton to Marcos Cajina

Hi Marcos;

I am in Australia at the moment with an MSIA conference here. We have been sending Light to this situation and played Moments of Peace that were done around the time of the Sept. 11 events. Our compassion overflows.

LL,

John

MARCH 15, 2004 — from Marcos Cajina to John Morton

Hi John,

Marcos here. Thank you for your compassion and unconditional loving. We continue to do our best amidst what seems to be a tragedy. Today is Monday in Spain and many ministers will begin participating in the IIWP 32 day inner peace prayer project which I shared with them at the meditation MSIA Spain organized on Sunday evening.

Today is the International Day of Forgiveness. There are no accidents in Spirit!!!!! 11 million people went out to the streets as a reaction to the bombings. Some marched in rage, others marched in love. Both Moira and I continue to serve silently the best we can, despite our emotions, minds and negative imagination in reaction to what has happened. And, something bigger than our pettiness and negativity continues to nurture and guide us in spreading love, peace and laughter wherever and whenever needed.

For your info, the general elections took place on Sunday with no incidents.

Much love, Light and laughter to you, staff and friends in Australia. I look forward to seeing you again shortly in Los Angeles.

Marcos

MARCH 17, 2004 — from Marcos Cajina to MSIA staff person, Deborah Martinez

Thank you for sending the Light to us. We are working overtime in keeping our Light strong and learning how to take care of ourselves at the same time in the midst of terror. Over 201 people have died representing as many as 11 nationalities. Some of whom did not speak Spanish at all and relatives had a hard time swallowing what had taken place. It is not an easy task to stay neutral and loving given the political turmoil this terrorist attack has created in the Spaniards after the general elections. Fury, rage, frustration and anger are just some of the negativities that are popping up.

When Linda Searle rang us up to support us and send us Light and love on behalf of PTS and MSIA, I broke into tears and Moira was very emotional. So, as ministers of God we have been called on to respond with forgiveness, inner peace, and laughter to the negativity present and we are doing this regardless of our own pettiness and negativity and personal circumstances.

This is not just me alone doing my best, but a group consciousness knitted by fellow ministers working together to do God’s work at this time in Spain. I just happen to be the one who speaks English around here. The ministerial body in Spain (about 35 ministers) called in the Light together on Sunday where we did spiritual exercises and played the Luxor meditation for peace by John-Roger.

Spontaneously, MSIA Seminar Leaders have been organizing meditations at home since the terrorist attack took place. Many ministers are participating in the IIWP 32 day inner peace project which I shared on Sunday with all fellow ministers. I have translated the prayer as “Te amo, Dios te bendiga, la Paz est
