An Awesome Evening with John Morton & John-Roger in Santa Monica, CA, and Worldwide Live on the Internet

Article imageOn Tuesday, July 23, Stu Semigran welcomed everyone to the monthly Question and Answer Seminar with John Morton, the Spiritual Director of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA). The ballroom at the 2101 Wilshire Building in Santa Monica was full, and participants were also connecting to the event via the Internet throughout the US and around the world.

Stu called in the Light to begin the evening and then welcomed Greg Blanchard, former star of “Les Miserables”, who sang a selection from that musical, and had us all spell-bound. It was a short selection, but very powerful and very sweet.

Next Stu spoke about John Morton’s ministry in the world, and his work for MSIA. Stu then asked John to come up on stage to begin his portion of the evening.

John Morton began his talk by making reference to his experience as a facilitator of Insight Training Seminars. He briefly promoted the Super II Seminar, that he and John-Roger plan to facilitate, which will take place on August 7-11, 2002, at the 2101 Building.

In a special surprise, John-Roger checked in via audio feed, and John invited J-R to participate in answering the questions throughout the evening. John also introduced Deborah Martinez, Webmaster for the MSIA family of organizations, who explained how someone “surfing the Web” might find MSIA and this Question & Answer Seminar live online.

Questions began coming in, from the Internet participants and from those in the ballroom of the 2101 Building. Both John Morton and John-Roger answered various questions, each in his own inimitable style. Questions were broad ranging, and the answers were often deeply personal, yet applicable to most human beings: How can I come into awareness of being one with God? In re-creating my career to allow for more fun, what is the key to go beyond despairing and hopeless feelings? How can I be more constantly aware of my divinity, and learn to love and forgive myself? How can I give up compulsive eating? How can I maintain the loving with my spouse in the midst of a lot of life changes? How can I let go of fears I have regarding an upcoming assignment to a political post in my home country? Am I clearing karma through my very vivid dreams, and how can I program my dreams to be more peaceful, so that I can rest? How can I center myself from my extremes of impulsiveness? How can I learn to be more true to myself, and be more honest with my spouse? How can I get out of depression? How can I regain my drive and ambition? I fear that my 5-month-old baby daughter won’t be in my life someday, how can I feel her presence more? How can I live less through my ego, and how can I recognize when I am doing that?

It was truly an honor to be present at this event. John-Roger and John Morton demonstrated again and again how to be loving, caring and sharing, and assisted participants to lift negativity that had been with them for a long, long time.

At the end of the evening, Stu Semigran came back up on stage to thank everyone for participating, and invited the participants in the room to share in the snacks and tea and coffee. What a wonderful experience, and what a gift to us all to have both John-Roger and John Morton working so closely with us! Blessings are abounding all around us.
