Prana’s Tree-Trimming Party Gets Rave Reviews

Article imageThe Prana Tree Trimming Party on Tuesday, December 3rd, started just outside the front gate. There, the Christmas Spirit began with the beautiful old Guasti Mansion ablaze with a zillion tiny lights outlining its handsome architectural details.

Inside, some merry elves were setting out tables filled with ornaments, bows, and ribbons for the tree, while others were up on ladders, adding lights to the 9-foot spruce tree in the center of the Large Seminar Room.

A few feet away, gathered around the grand piano, were a minion of sopranos, singing traditional and modern Christmas carols, accompanied, directed and encouraged by the J-R Library’s own Barbara Weiland.

Across the Foyer in the Small Seminar Room (once the Guasti family’s dining room), a feast was laid out: jumbo shrimp, chicken satay on skewers, tiny quiches, and an honorable array of cookies, cakes, and candies (with and without sugar).
