Choosing into the Newness: Passover to Resurrection

The resurrection is not an end process; it is a resurrecting process. It is on-going, every day, every second, every moment to give up the past and to get to the new. And it has the willingness to do that with the most joy we can find or the most profound love that can be there.
— John-Roger

At the Passover to Resurrection Workshop offered by Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy in Santa Monica on April 9th & 10th, over one hundred and thirty participants were blessed with experiencing the beauty and joy in our own resurrecting processes.

Facilitated by the wonderful team of Dr. Angel Gibson and Dr. David Bransky, we applied the spiritual teachings of Passover and Resurrection in a practical, personal way. We took the Bible’s teachings–from the bondage of the Israelites to the freedom in Jesus’s rising–into our hearts to experience more how we are one with God. We reached out to one another, helping each other release judgments and let go of negative thinking that blocked our awareness of that Oneness. We learned where we could make sacrifices through grace, and how to choose into the loving to help us move more effectively and joyously along our Soul’s journey back home.

Each day, the room became filled with a palpable loving energy brought forward from the support and compassion extended by participants to each other and from the Presence within us all that came forward so profoundly and so sweetly. Joy reigned as hugs and smiles were in abundance!

On Friday and Saturday afternoons, our beloved Traveler John Morton joined us in the workshop to answer questions and share his wisdom and love with us. Questions from participants echoed our learning from the processes, and John’s compassion and humor helped us reach deeper levels of awareness and comfort. John reminded us to love our challenges and that through our loving, we move into experiencing the blessings. I especially loved it when John reminded us that the living scripture is found within our hearts.

I had the blessed opportunity to assist at the workshop under the super guidance of Team Captain, Rick Ojeda, and the camaraderie of new and enduring friendships with my Assisting Teammates. Coming from Miami, I felt welcomed into an instant family choosing to cooperate together with the common purpose of serving the Lord. As I worked and played as an assistant, the learning and inspiration that came forth enhanced the awareness that I gained from the workshop itself. For me, the Passover to Resurrection Workshop was a precious experience of choosing into the newness through loving service, for which I am deeply grateful.
