It Was All About Loving at the November 16th Q&A with John Morton on the Internet

In the crisp, autumn evening in Santa Monica, California (with a fabulous rainbow sunset as a bonus), more than a hundred folks gathered together for the Q&A with John Morton at 2101 Wilshire Blvd. Signs and evidence of preparations for the upcoming holidays were everywhere.

Nick Segal presided as Master of Ceremonies (always a treat), and he began with a short explanation of the invocation of Light and the Ani-Hu. God’s love and grace became palpable as we chanted. Although they are not a secret, the Internet Broadcast Seminars are a truly divine way to experience the energy of Spirit.

Nick made a couple announcements of upcoming events, talked a bit about MSIA’s teaching of Soul Transcendence, and made sure everyone knew that Soul Awareness Discourses are available, useful, and fun. NOW Productions presented a video promotion of Soul Awareness CDs and there were also a couple of video Moments of Peace from the Traveler’s travels to Ireland and Scotland.

Nick then introduced Paul Kaye, MSIA’s President, who spoke of the holiday Seeding Greeting cards offered by MSIA. For more information about seeding, go to www.seeding.org. He also talked about the new book authored by he and John-Roger entitled What’s It Like Being You?, which includes a CD featuring a meditation on the True Self. The book is now available in bookstores nationwide and on Amazon.com here.

Paul Kaye mentioned that the January 25th Internet Broadcast Q&A with John Morton (and John-Roger is invited, health permitting) will be devoted to tithing and seeding. As a follow up, in February there will also a webcast three-week class on Abundance and Prosperity, followed by a Q&A with John Morton on the Internet on February 15th. Next, Nick introduced John Morton as an author, spiritual director of MSIA, and a friend. John welcomed everyone in the Brentwood Ballroom and all those out in “Internet Land.” He said that John-Roger was watching the webcast, and was feeling much better, thank you, and that without J-R we wouldn’t have been here.

John read a quote from “Loving Each Day” email — a short passage about tuning in to the guiding force of Spirit, and it will do what we are too unaware to do for ourselves. You can sign up for free Loving Each Day quotes by email here.

With the preface that these Internet Broadcasts are still set up in the Question and Answer format, John opened the evening up to anyone who wanted to ask a question. The first was from an Internet participant in New Jersey, who wanted to know how he could create what he wanted without creating karma. John’s answer was swift: Place it in the Light.

In the Brentwood Ballroom, a woman asked, “How can I be more honest with myself?” John’s sharing brought her into greater gratitude and loving.

From the Internet, the question from a participant in Ecuador was, “Why is self-acceptance so hard?” John’s response was to ask of the audience in the Ballroom, “What is the First Law of Spirit?” We all chimed in “Acceptance!” John added that acceptance is not resisting.

In the Ballroom, a woman asked,” What is God’s purpose in individualizing himself in me?” John lovingly answered and continued to move us into our own loving inside.

From Australia, a gentleman asked, “When I do spiritual exercises, I have a lot of emotional intensity. Why is that?” John’s answer was about clearing and enjoying.

In the Ballroom, a woman said, “I feel like I am complete with this life. Why am I still here?” John lovingly and humorously read his response from The Way Out Book by John-Roger, which got everyone’s attention. You can order the Way Out Book here.

From Brazil, a woman said, “We are surrounded with so much negativity which makes us sick. How can we stay well?” John spoke of taking care of ourselves and being tender with ourselves.

Within the Ballroom, a woman said, “I have a new niece, and I want to know how I can make the world a safer place for her.” John replied, “what the world needs now is love, sweet love” (he quoted a familiar song). Have faith and trust that “He’s got the whole world in his hands” (he again quoted a song).

John closed the evening with a blessing, adding a “bonus round” that was a sweet completion.

After John Morton left the room, Nick Segal once again took the microphone, and invited everyone to mingle and enjoy the refreshments being served at the back of the room.
