Every second week of the month you can catch Sally Kirkland at Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens, facilitating classes and leading seminars.

Last Tuesday, we inaugurated Sally’s Transformational Acting class with a whopping 50 people in attendance. Sally’s amazing style of working with people brings out so many wonderful qualities such as humor, spontaneity, depth of expression and light-heartedness. This class was extraordinary as Sally worked individually with many participants. I for one, became a New Yawk hoodlum, a funny lady with a lizard in her hair, and a misguided spinster in love with her gay hair dresser. Who me?

Sally’s a Golden Globe Award winner as best actress for the film “Anna,” and Academy Award nominee for the same film, and she’s made over a hundred other films. Her broad experience sends those of us who want to learn more about how Spirit helps us express ourselves flocking to this class. And Sally’s generosity of heart has her giving in every moment of this exciting class, from the improv comedy exercises right through to the dramatic monologue and scene work. The class is free of charge, though many people found in their hearts to make a donation.

Next Acting classes with Sally Kirkland: Wednesday, February 9, and Tuesday, March 8. Please RSVP 323-737-4055 ext 121 or email kim@msia.org.

Thursday last week was our first Yoga class with Sally. Sally’s a certified yoga instructor and has been doing yoga daily for many years, and she gives from that place of knowing the value through her own personal experience. What a lovely way to end a day, with Sally soothing our tired bodies, gently encouraging us to stretch and breathe, helping us achieve some simple yet powerful yoga positions that release tension and help bring the Spirit more fully into our bodies. This is a class for beginners and advanced students alike. Again, it’s free of charge, though donations are welcomed.

Next Yoga classes with Sally Kirkland: Thursdays, February 10 and March 10.
RSVP 323-737-4055 ext 121 or email kim@msia.org.

To top off the week, Sally led the Friday night video seminar last week. Sally loves to talk about MSIA and how John-Roger and John Morton have touched her life. She welcomed new people and friends alike with her warmth and loving. Then we watched a favorite seminar by John Morton called “1000 Ways to Happiness and Healing.” John had us all in stitches, laughing at just about everything he said. He was spontaneous, funny, poignant, and wise—definitely a seminar to archive for many future hours of fun and joy. Desserts were served and the coffee bar was open after the seminar.

Friday night seminars are conducted every Friday at Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens at 7:30 p.m. (except for a few holidays – if you’re not sure call ahead), and Sally leads Friday night seminars every 2nd Friday of the month. Come for dinner at 5:30 p.m., walk the labyrinth and then come to seminar—what a great way to end the work-week.

Our coffee bar with delicious Urth Caffe organic coffees and teas is open after many events. Come enjoy your favorite Urth Caff
