DAY 3 — Caracas

What a chock full day today! I start off at the gym just to get energized….then we’re off and running. Services are filled and going smoothly. We take time out for lunch at the hotel’s Mango Restaurant which has two big flat screen TV’s prominently showing soccer games — definitely fun to watch over lunch of specially made for us (no onion/garlic/pork) risotto.

Our afternoon sails by and we have just enough time for a few bites of power bars and then we go into initiations for several hours followed by 9 ordinations. Wow! We’re all done by 10:40pm and Celia and I are ready to eat with some of our Caracas family, but not before we huddle over logistics for tomorrow’s drive to the airport. 8:15am luggage will be collected is decided upon. So Vincent, Ani, and Lesley gently call it a day.

Celia and I are ready to party — well at least eat. So we head off with Santos, Magaly, Chuo, Vania, Mercedes, and Gabriela for Limoncelo — our fun Italian restaurant that always does its best, with graciousness, to get us pizzas, steaks, etc without onion/garlic. Tonight was a rousing success. In just one hour we are happily fed. Luigi joins us and we make a joyous bunch. Toasting the Travelers and ourselves with tea, cokes and lemonades. We share some chocolate desserts and then with many hugs and goodbyes drive back to our hotel. Celia and I still need to pack, and there are emails from Bogota and elsewhere in South America awaiting responses. By the way Cesar is still in intensive care so we continue to hold him in the Light. What has been grace-filled and lovely to see is the whole Caracas community coming forward to assist in creating all the logistics to go as smoothly as possible for the workshop and Services in Cesar’s absence. A tribute to their willingness to serve and come together for the highest good. Well, time for a few hours of sleep, for tomorrow we head for Bogota. Hasta manana!
