On the Road with Angel Gibson in Bogota, Colombia

Article imageMSIA travel staff are currently in South America, providing MSIA Services (Innerphasings, Polarity Balances & Aura Balances) as well as MSIA events in various locations. Staff member, Angel Gibson, provides this update:

DAY 1
Celia Allen-Graham and I leave this evening for Bogota on a red-eye. I like red-eyes because I get the whole day before flying to pack and do whatever needs to be done. We have a full day tomorrow arriving in Bogota and then doing MSIA Services later in the day. Light for ease and grace.

DAY 2 Bogota

We arrive in Bogota and our Bogota angel, Ani Pacheco, finds us in Immigration and treats us to VIP service as we whip through immigration and customs. Yolanda Martinez and Alberto Arango are outside and embrace us as they move us into their waiting cars. No time to lose as we must check into our hotel, grab a quick lunch and head off for MSIA Services at the S.E.D.E., the MSIA center in Colombia. Bogota is a blend of new and old. There are lots of buildings going up and there are horse-drawn carts and lots of people selling their wares right in the main boulevards. Once at the hotel we quickly refresh our bodies and drive to the S.E.D.E. where our dear friends, Ilse Arango and Zarita are there to greet us. They are so happy that we can do some extra Services today and we’re happy that Spirit is seeming to provide just the perfect amount of energy so the balances are done easily and we are more or less alert. As soon as we finish, there is a little “refrigerio” or snack waiting for us. Like kids, we’re eager to taste and we’re not let down. There’s a yummy quiche and some freshly made from scratch hibiscus tea. Then it’s back to our hotel, finish our unpacking and ever so happily get horizontal for a night’s rest.

DAY 3 Bogota

After a welcomed night’s rest we’re ready for our first whole day in Bogota at the S.E.D.E. It’s sunny and in the 60’s. We have a full day of Services and we’re joined by balancers-in-training, Lesley Freeman (who came from LA vis Quito) and Ani Pacheco, who are sitting in on the polarity balances and the aura balance #1’s. The day goes by very fast with a break of lunch made by our fabulous chef, Gustavo. After Services we have initiations and ordinations. The ministers start gathering in anticipation of the seven ordinations to be done. John Marin is the translator. This is my kind of party. We are grateful as each one steps forward to receive their ordination and blessing as we are blessed too. Well, it has been a jammed packed day made all the sweeter by the caring of so many. Waving goodbye we drive back to our hotel. Celia and I have a little snack in our room watching the rest of this inspiring movie about a father who fights the Irish government to have his children returned to his custody, and after some emails it will be time for some rest. Life is good. Hasta manana!

DAY 4 Bogota

Some of the pleasures of being on the road are discovering those special little cafes that have the best coffee. This morning Celia and I come upon such a place right near our hotel. The ladies that serve us have a sweetness and caring that lights us up more than the caffeine and touches our hearts. We take advantage of starting Services at 12 noon to do a little window shopping before meeting Alberto Arango who is driving us to the S.E.D.E. for Services. Lesley and Ani are at the S.E.D.E. when we arrive; embracitos and besitos (hugs and kisses) all around and then we settle down for a full day of Services. At 7pm it’s time for our little “refrigerio”/snack, and then I begin an evening of initiations which is a treat in itself. Ani waits for me to finish and takes me back to the hotel. God bless her as it’s been a long day for her too. Email awaits and then it’s time for bed.

DAY 5 Bogota

Today is our last day this week in Bogota. We will be back next week. Our schedule today is jammed packed with Services, ordinations, more Services, and then an evening of more initiations and a marriage blessing. Somehow the day flies by and amazingly enough our energy is sustained gracefully. We are nourished throughout the day with wonderful meals and snacks–ok, we’re really spoiled. Ilse Arango, Yoli Martinez and Olga Elena each have helped to keep the schedule running smoothly and we deeply appreciate their support. Though it’s late when we finish, Celia and I take time out for a little dinner and catch-up time at Il Pomodoro with our friends, Ilse and Alberto, reliving favorite memories of staff trips to Bogota. We laugh and laugh. Then back to the hotel. Oooh it’s late now as we pack, for tomorrow we fly to Caracas. Thanks for sending the Light; we’re grateful for it.
