On the Range and Wide Open Spaces with the Traveler! MSIA Travel Staff’s Visit to the Southwest in 2007

Article image MSIA travel staff are currently in the Southwest, providing MSIA Services (Innerphasings, Polarity Balances & Aura Balances) as well as MSIA events. Staff member, Angel Gibson, provides this update from the trip:

Here we go with On the Road with the Traveler in the Southwest:

Day 1 – To Santa Fe

Off we go into the wild blue yonder on Southwest Airlines and the Southwest Trip begins. Lesley Freeman, Vincent Dupont and myself are greeted by the fun and friendly personnel at Southwest Airlines who whip us through check-in. They certainly seem to enjoy their work and remind me how nice it is to be greeted and cared for with a smile. Soon we’re in the air and then in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dennis Kelly, one tall drink of water (as they say), greets us with bottles of water. Now if you’ve ever been to Albuquerque and Santa Fe you’ll know how great it is to have water waiting for you. Dennis keeps us company regaling us with stories of how he has come to look so good after having suffered a broken back just last year at this time. What a testament to spiritual exercises and a good attitude!

Vincent drives Lesley, me, some sound cases and our luggage to Santa Fe and we’re in high country now–about 7000+ feet above sea level. Of course, we make our pilgrimage to the local Whole Foods-one of our favorite field trips. Then with our basics in hand we settle ourselves into our hotel rooms for a quiet evening–a real treat as we head into the beginning of the trip. The New Mexico co-MSIA Reps have seen to every detail of preparation that they can. We have Services schedules, maps and more water. We’re ready to go.

Day 2 – Santa Fe

Today we drive to Robert Waterman’s and Karey Thorne’s home for Services. Entering into their house is like coming home to Mom and Dad for summer break. It’s so like home, even the dogs, Mon Ami and Meister Eckart come to greet us. With big hugs from Robert and Karey we each go to find our room for the day and set up for a full day of Services. It’s so great catching up with our Santa Fe friends. The food is delicious, and the snacks plentiful. The day is beautiful with a breeze that never ends, and sitting outside by the little fountain and pond is delicious. Our day sails by and before we know it, it’s time to drive home. While we take advantage of this night to catch up on emails, and hopefully get a little ahead of the game, some of our Santa Fe MSIA family are doing Baptisms at 10000 Waves. I think they manage to get 11+ of themselves into one of the pools, and have a beautiful, sacred and warm time of blessings. Meanwhile Roger Wakefield and the rest of the sound equipment have arrived at the Albuquerque airport. Dennis Kelly is there again to greet and babysit the equipment while Roger goes for the car. Roger makes it to the hotel just as I’m turning in for the night. Bless him. Tonight we sleep, for tomorrow the Traveler arrives and we go into high gear.

Day 3 – Santa Fe

A full day today as Vincent, Lesley and I head off for Services today and Roger goes to the Unitarian church to set up the audio/video for the closed MSIA Seminar tonight. It’s another sweet day at Robert and Karey’s as we do Services, enjoy the lunch cuisine by our chef, Christine Valentini, and visit with our friends from Albuquerque. An excitement is in the air as the Traveler, John Morton, is on his way to Santa Fe to be with us tonight for the closed seminar. When Services finish, we have a little goodbye time with Robert and Karey, and Lesley and I head off to the seminar location via Whole Foods (to pick up a little meal for Roger and Vincent).

Once at the Unitarian church there are many, many friends to hug and visit with and then John arrives. There’s that wonderful hush as all of us come into a quiet and our MC’s for the evening call us into the Light. The Ani Hu chanting fills the room with that sweetness that opens our hearts to receive. Barbara Hefner expands this sweetness with her song “I hear the Angels Singing” and we’re ready for the Traveler. With humor and surprises, John takes us on a journey and soon we’re soaring. Certainly the Blessings Are again very abundant as John completes with Baruch Bashan, and we start our pack up. We have many helpers and loving Light-holders as we pack up the equipment for the evening. Mitch, Ann, Eve, Brian, Rebecca, and Susan we “Thank You.” And. thank you to all who participated in bringing us such loving and caring during our Santa Fe visit! Now it’s time to do a few more emails, pack our suitcases and get a little sleep for tomorrow we have our much-anticipated drive day to Boulder.
