A Record Breaking Book Event With John-Roger & John Morton

Article imageJohn-Roger and John Morton did it again! They spoke to the largest crowd this Barnes & Noble bookstore has ever seen. With over 150 books sold, they broke the bookstore’s record. A perfect tag-team and a one-two punch, they knocked the socks of all those present. Plymouth Meeting’s Barnes and Noble, just outside of Philadelphia, hosted the witty John-Roger with his new book “Loving Each Day for Moms and Dads,” and a wise John Morton and his book “The Blessings Already Are.”

One of the highlights of the evening was when a young boy of maybe five stood up during a questions and answers session. The young boy said that he drew a picture of swings, and asked, with the innocence of a child, if J-R would give it to God. The next day, the boy hand delivered the letter to J-R for prompt delivery to God.

Both J-R and John spoke during the course of the evening, ending with a questions and answers session. John finished the evening speaking of competition. He described a situation that is present today, how kids play games where there are no winners or losers. John described that it can be very beneficial to youngsters to have games where there is competition. In the competition and winning and losing, John shared how kids will work things out. In these games, children learn about not always getting what they want and how to handle that. This way, when they are confronted with these types of situations in their lives, there will be a foundation of experience on how to handle it.
