This article shares highlights from one reporter’s experience of the blessings that always are with John Morton and the tremendous opportunity of sharing in MSIA’s teachings via the Internet. What a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!
The Thanksgiving season moved into full swing on Saturday, November 23rd, as MSIA hosted a live Internet webcast Q&A seminar with our beloved Traveler and friend, John Morton. The Brentwood Room at 2101 Wilshire Boulevard was filled with people and buzzing with the conversations of happy hearts as the clock struck noon and MC Timothea Stewart took the stage.
Timothea warmly welcomed everyone in the room as well as the Internet audience, sharing greetings in English, Spanish, and French. As we called in the Light together, it felt like Spirit rippled through the room, preparing us to receive deeply of the teachings of Soul Transcendence.
When it was time to introduce John, we received an unexpected treat–a singing introduction by John’s beautiful and talented daughter, Claire Donnelley Morton. Claire took the stage with loving aplomb, and shared how John-Roger had given her dad the walkie-talkie handle of “16 Tons”. Claire then launched into the song “16 Tons” with full-hearted gusto and stage presence, belting out the lyrics that seemed tailor-made for her dad:
“You load sixteen tons and what do you get?
Another day older and deeper in debt.
Saint Peter, don’t you call me ’cause I can’t go,
l owe my Soul to the company store.”
As Claire sang, appreciative chuckles could be heard through the room. The Traveler’s energy was percolating clear & strong, from Claire’s heart & soulful singing to our hearts & ears. And, as John noted when he took the stage, Claire is “all of 11” !
John then began the seminar and shared a bounty of blessings. Whether speaking with people present in the room or with those on the Internet in London, Miami, or Arizona, John loaded our spiritual plates with the wisdoms of the heart.
Some of the gems that I heard John share included: encouragement to love and enjoy our lives as they are; to start loving a little bit more than before; to know that when we love & support each other in spiritual communion through times of illness, that is enough; to trust that there is perfection in whatever is going on with us; that as we participate with the teachings of Soul Transcendence, things accelerate in our lives and negativity cannot remain as it is thrown off; to take dominion with our minds, and know that everyone is tested; that the Traveler transcends any physical condition and is alive and well inside of us; and, last but in no way least, that the way we know we’re going to God is that we do love one another.
By the time the seminar came to a close, it seemed as if John had taken any burdent we had, brought 16 tons and more of loving energy to bear on it, and shared diamond after diamond of Spirit’s love and grace.
